Which iPhone to use as moving map?
Opinions wanted: Which iPhone do you think is best as inflight companion running a primary moving map?
No "non-Apple" or "better-get-an-iPad" discussions please,
this is all about collecting ideas for Apple iPhone series.
SE - quite a bit small and outdated,
6s - older but reliable,
7 - rather useful,
8 - does the glass and wireless charging means anything in flight,
X - does FaceID scramble IR sensors in aircraft,
6/7/8 Pluses - worth the display but too big for the pocket?

I tried my 6s with Skydemon (I already have it on an Android tablet). Apart from the size of the display it works better than on the tablet. A little greedy on the battery so I often use it to check on 'other stuff' Notams, other plates whatever, which the Android table cannot do (no data connection). As a sole source I suspect it would be a little annoying due to its size - but it can certainly do it all, but I suspect you will need additional power either a USB charger or power pack or short flights!.
