Completely understood, and actually impressed that 530m is enough for enough of your members!

Eclectic mix

We have a fairly wide span of a/c brave enough. Club hirer's will be in 172s, (as will I, but my own 180hp), others are Robin 400s, Monsun, Airtourer, different PA28 versions, Tobago, and even a Cirrus has been known to play.

Great!

Let me know if you get the Cirrus driver into 530m of grass! :-)

Cirrus on grass

I think his best this year was Audley End at 800m (at second attempt). Wasn't as exciting as the Extra landing downhill at Wimborne 😃

My shortest grass strip landing in an SR22 is Erinagh (EIER) at 600m. I recall it being a bit tight.....

Not an NTS property but Mount Stuart House on the Isle of Bute is a gem. Bute has its own, shortish, airstrip. 4 miles to the house from the strip but taxis are a possibility even on Bute.

Appreciated, but Bute is probably a little distant for a day trip from Rochester. But if I'm ever up there.....
