Lockyears Farmstrips & Private Airfields Guide

Does anyone have a copy of the above book? It's £20 on aviation store sites but also 4 years old.

Please PM me if you have.

Thanks!

the 4 year old Lockyears guide may well be the latest issue. Our copy (we still use it!) is the 5th Edition, it has sunset tables for 2008. Every 5 years or so sounds about right for the publication interval. As advised in it, always check and seek permission from strip operators before going there.

LOCKYERS

The latest edition is the sixth--believe you can buy via transair or flightstore
There are plenty of other strips on UKGA FLIGHT CARDS website and many on charts not in Loockyers or pooleys

There is a nice pdf with lots of airfields - from Heathrow down to many many farm strips - at the LAA. But it too is a bit dated: 2013.

I do. I used to work for Bryan every Saturday as a kid cleaning his plane and mowing the runways... Loved the Ashkosh weekends!!!

Jans link is good for finding airfields but it does not seem to show vital information such as who to contact to get permission to use an airstrip.

This one seems more up to date and has PPR and other info
