PPL training.
Your best bet is to look through a GA magazine and then go and visit a few schools to see what they are like. It all comes down to personalities, see how you are treated when you inquire, see what the prices are including any "hidden" costs, sometimes it is cheaper to drive a little further rather than pay high landing fees. You will no doubt get many recommendations from people pushing the one school they know well, there is no substitute for going and having a look.

For what its worth I have just kicked off my LAPL @ GoFly out of Old Sarum (EGLS) outside of Salisbury.
They have 3 FADEC PA-28 Warriors and I think a few AA5-Bs. At the moment they are a tad short on instructors but I understand this is being fixed next month with a number of new starters, but the team there seem really nice and the instruction, for me, seems top notch.
