Airfield / Airport near Daventry

Hello all,

I've got an event coming up in a few months in Daventry, and was wondering if anyone knew if there was an airfield / airport locally that I could fly a PA28 into?

Many thanks

T

Looking at https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=11/52.2526/-1.2332I found only the airstrip at Newnham Grounds nearby. It that doesn't suit I'm afraid it will have to be Coventry or perhaps Turweston.

Sywell and Shotteswell look to be a bit closer than Baginton.

Long grass can be usefull.

On approach to a small airfield on the west coast of Ireland.

"Wind speed 8 knots, can't give you the direction as they've cut the grass"
