Info requested for flying to Cardiff
I've run the search function here and apart from a few 'mention in dispatches', haven't found any truly useful information with regards flying to Cardiff in my SR20.
My thoughts are to fly there midweek in late July (around the 21st or so) and stop overnight before I fly on to the Green Island - the questions I have are:
1) until what time will the club normally be manned - I've already noted that if I fly there, I should head south to avoid the ritual emptying of the wallet that is called 'handling'. However I've yet to find out when they open and close.
2) Who should I contact at the club to organise this (and, if available, telephone or email details)?
3) Anything else I should be aware of if flying into Cardiff?

Thanks, I'd already tried that but the contact form is basically geared towards them gaining business rather than sending information about those of us wanting to land, which is understandable. However I sent them a contact request via the form a while back selecting 'other' but have yet to hear anything and the only number listed is for Coventry... And I have an aversion to taking anything as Gospel from someone who is 200 miles away

Aeros is normally manned until 17:30 local but they do close early from time to time if the weather isn't permitting flying training. Suggest you give them a call on the day of your flight to check.
If Aeros is closed, it is possible to get landslide via the fire station gate, although that may be available to persons having a Cardiff airside pass only - I suggest you ask Aeros that when you call.
Cardiff is a GA-friendly airfield so you shouldn't have any problems flying-wise. If coming VFR, expect to be given entry/exit to the zone by one of the published VFR entry/exit routes (see AIP or Pooleys etc) so suggest you keep a copy to hand.
