It is incredible footage, but flying that close to a mature thunderstorm seems like madness to me, especially in something that probably weights less than 600kg.
I love microlights and I'm fascinated by tornadoes; If / when I go storm chasing, it'll be from the ground in a car

That is so cool. I've only ever seen one tornado - well, it was just a funnel cloud really - and I'd be like a big kid if I got the chance to see one that close. It must be incredibly rare to see twin vortices too, particularly in mainland Europe.
