PPL Training flying and ground school
Hi
I am looking for a bit of advice to try and decide what route to take with regards to my flying. I have been learning to fly for over 2.5 years which has been very patchy due to my bad luck with the weather and also being very busy myself. I have an issue now where my ground school exams are due to expire on 21.05.2016 and I have booked in a sequence of lessons to catch up on my skills revision next week with the hope of taking the skills test afterwards and hopefully passing before the ground school exams expire. The reason I have booked in a sequence of lessons is due to literally having a few lessons here and there over the past 1.25 years due to the weather, being too busy and also the turnover of instructors due to them moving on to greater ventures (I have had 5 different ones in that time period alone!).
My problem now is that I feel that I have taken on too much recently with projects in and out of work and that I feel that I will struggle to commit to the lessons next week and even if I did make them, my mind would be in too many places and therefore not being in an ideal state of mind to concentrate on the flying.
What I want to know is if I was to postpone the lessons and test, firstly is there a timescale on how long my flying hours would last? i.e if I was to take a break and continue it say in 1 years time, would it be a case of having revision lessons to get my skills back up to scratch or having to learn mush of the flying again to re-build those hours?
Secondly, are there any flying schools where I would be able to say book a intensive course and be able to do all flying revision that is required given my existing experience and take the skills test at the end of it? I know of places that do these for beginners but if my hours do not expire, then I would not require the whole course?
Lastly, I am aware that I would need to take my ground school exams again prior to the skills test.

You have little to be concerned about. Many students find themselves in the same situation. We have several at our Club. (One is about to take the writtens for the third time) Your hours never "expire" and there is no limit to how many years you take. Just make sure your mind is clear to devote full focus to finishing the training when you're able. Most Clubs can and should accommodate intensive training at any stage. P.M. me if you wish.
Since we have been under EU rules, you no longer have the option to chop and change schools. All the flying must be conducted under the supervision of a Head of Training. Any change of school requires a formal transfer. Similarly, all the ground exams must be conducted under one HoT, not necessarily the same one as the flying.

Thank you very much for your help with this as its helped me very much. Yes I am definitely going to come back to this to complete my training as soon as things settle down more and my mind is totally clear as so I can give it the full attention required 
I'm not sure that I can think of any flying school who, with reasonable advance notice, wouldn't be perfectly happy to organise an intensive training course for you. Just talk to them.
All of your existing logged hours will remain valid - you'll need to do some revision in the air of things that you've forgotten or slipped on, but equally the regular lessons and taking yourself away from work for a few weeks should ensure that you're then on a much steeper and healthier learning curve.
