Transport For London Flying Club
Good Evening all,
The Transport for London Flying Club:
LTFC Home
Has anyone here attended this club?
I have recently moved to London and wanted to get my flying going again and this seems the best balance between distance / price.
However, equally important is what the club is actually like. Does anyone have any views on the club?
Also can anyone put me in touch with some instructors and possibly suggest one?
Thanks in advance for the abundance of helpful responses I am about to receive....

All very friendly and easy going. Enter Fairoaks via the West Entrance, turn right through the mini industrial area past the sewage works and you're there.
They're not necessarily open every day, so best if you phone rather than just dropping in, although having said that, there are often members there but no instructors.

It really is a club & not a sterile "Flying School"

Unless the WX is really "Donk" then you will usually find the door open especially Sat & Sun, but as said a phone call will save a wasted journey, or just look through the big picture windows.

This is the club house number.
+44 (0) 1276 858502
Like they say if the wx is OK there's usually someone there.
I have personal experience of the instructors Steve Briggs and Alex Jones and would highly recommend them both.
And as a club we have regular Flyouts at home and abroad.
Look forward to seeing you.
Cheers
John

They are brilliant
I flew with them for quite a while and had a great time there. Highly recommended.
