LAPL
After years of trolling and adding the odd bit here and there I passed my skills test today so thought it only fair to say thanks to the community of pilots in here. Reading various posts has helped me through and I look forward to increasing my knowledge in future. Thanks folks !

LAPL gets you flying and you can take passengers, fly in Europe, can't see myself flying in the states. Another ten hours flying and take the PPL test and meantime I've got an extra pair of eyes with me. Couldn't see the point in not going for LAPL instead. It's a two yearly medical from your GP as well at a fraction of the cost of a class two annual cert.
