G1000 "endorsement"?

Does PIC in a G1000 equipped aircraft in the UK or Europe require a form of training or endorsement? If so, how is that specified, and documented?

You'd need 'EFIS differences training' but it's not specific to G1000

I cannot speak with knowledge about the FAA, but Transport Canada has no requirement for glass cockpit, variable pitch prop, nor tailwheel "differences" training. Of course it's a good idea, but no specific requirement. My first G1000 experience was flying a Caravan, and it was a very steep learning curve! A 13 hour ferry flight in a DA-42, with a fellow pilot provided the opportunity to get used to it in a less stressful environment.

This question has come up (differences training in general) as I have discussed with Transport Canada the approval of a reversing propeller on a C 182. TC is pondering if the average pilot can manage the nuances of reverse without some training. I drew upon glass cockpit as a somewhat similar situation - new system, with previously not experienced elements, in a familiar aircraft.
