East mids
I'm visiting Donington park race track and was thinking about flying down as East Mids is right next door.
Anyone visited there recently and what was it like.

Handling and refuelling is best arranged through Donair I believe. Security have some funny ideas sometimes, it's worth checking with Donair what you'll need (if anything).
It's a fair walk to the track, even though Donair is at the right end of the airfield, so you might want to arrange a ride or taxi.
As a major freight hub and reasonably busy regional passenger airport, the airfield is as you might expect. Sometimes quite busy, but the controllers are usually very helpful.

As per the EMA AIP you need a pre-arranged handling agent to land at EMA. Only GA handling agents are Signature and Advantage - DonAir are not a listed handling agent, only listed as an Avgas fuel provider.
