for surgery.

It is possible to get a Class 1 medical after surgery. No idea whether it is an option for you (lots of variables).

(f) Applicants who have undergone eye surgery may be assessed as fit subject to satisfactory ophthalmic evaluation.

Class 1
(i) Eye surgery
(1) After refractive surgery, a fit assessment may be considered, provided that:
(i) pre-operative refraction was no greater than +5 dioptres;
(ii) post-operative stability of refraction has been achieved (less than 0.75 dioptres variation diurnally);
(iii) examination of the eye shows no postoperative complications;
(iv) glare sensitivity is within normal standards;
(v) mesopic contrast sensitivity is not impaired;
(vi) review is undertaken by an eye specialist.

I can't even get a Class 3 medical due to my meds! When on meds I am symptom free, but because I take them I cannot get one.

I think that if you fly because you enjoy flying then to become an airline pilot will soon draw the fun out of it.
