@Victorian, there is a slightly newer version of 2001 out there (which I have). AFAIK, the FAA have never updated this chart subsequently. This - the 2001 edition - is also the one SkyVector have. Will check ForeFlight to see if they have anything newer.

@custardpsc, over the years I've rented from various outfits in the US (mainly L.A. region) and renter's insurance was always required. What has changed is that he deductible has gone up. Btw, I get mine through AOPA.

I just downloaded the latest Foreflight version and Bingo! the Grand Canyon corridors are there, seamlessly integrated into the sectional as you zoom in. No more nervously glancing at nearby mesas looking for the glint of a high powered binocular catching the sun. No more home-made waypoints. Just enjoy the view. Whopee!
