Garmin Pilot adds global coverage.

This is a real game changer.

I myself am a devotee of Foreflight here in the US and I think it's the best aviation software I've ever seen. However, one of its downsides is that it only covers US and Canada VFR/IFR. In Europe, they've had to come up with other software solutions, like SkyDemon etc. But as I understand it, there is no ready IFR solution for Europe unless you subscribe to the expensive Jeppview.

Garmin's Pilot, which has sailed up as a pretty fierce competitor to Foreflight here, just announced that they will have global support, both IFR and VFR. Don't know what the price for the subscriptions would be, but this is huge news. I would assume this would multiply the sales in Europe thousand fold. I hope Foreflight would introduce something similar soon, otherwise I might have to change…
