Garmin 500 retrofit

Any one out there in PPruneland done a G500 retrofit ?

Looking for tips, ideas and opinions of the system.

Did you make any mistakes when fitting the system or improvements that you could suggest ?

Panel space is at a premium so the NAV box will be a GTX650 but all the other kit is yet to be fixed........any ideas ?

I'd love one, but the cost of the kit, installed, would be equal to the current value of my airplane. What kind of plane is this going in?

G500 retrofit

I have a friend who retrofitted the G500 and G750 into his C180K last year. NReg so paperwork much cheaper and easier than EASA. Great system and works fine, fitted by avionics company at WAM Popham. Since had STec 30 A/P with Alt ,at RGV Cheltenham.
Owner out of UK until 1/8 will get in touch when able.

Tried to send you PM but unable?

Unable PM's following a disagreement with the PPrune managment.

Being an EASA type I have to get the EASA paperwork sorted And will be working with an Avionic company to do this.

The reason that I put this post up was to try to find out what some of the pitfalls are as to fitting the kit and avoid them.......... After all there is no point in solving problems that some one else has already solved !
