Starting out (UK)

Hi all! I'm considering a career change and something that I have always been interested in is becoming a helicopter pilot.

Can anyone advise me;

Is it possible to do this at my age (31), with no real qualifications apart from GCSE's.

Are there any ways of getting financial help at all as I have no access to any
funds whatsoever at the moment.

Thanks!

(Forgive me if this has been asked before!)

Career in choppers

Hi rjeary,

I suggest you post this in the 'Rotorheads' section. They are helicopter/autogyro people, know the ropes, and will be best able to advise you.

At your age, sponsorship is most unlikely so you will probably have to 'self-sponsor', (i.e. raise the money yourself).

Good luck,

BP.
