Next weeks trip

Hi All, heading down to wellesbourne next week to do a few hours and my IMC renewal.

Looking at doing a fairly decent cross country starting at wellesbourne and maybe heading upto barrow EGNL using the manchester low level corridor.

Whats the facilities like at barrow? is there a cafe etc? anyone give any advice etc?

There are no facilities at Barrow you'd do better to go to the flying club at Cardiff

If you're heading up that way F4 then Kirkbride is probably a better bet. The White Heather Hotel is about a ten minute walk from the parking slots and does great food. It's about half an hour further north then Barrow and will take you across the Lake District.

Yea, in Barrow, you can expect one thing. To contract a disease. I'd recommend Kirkbride too. Lovely place, and they do marvellous bacon butties.
