I used to fly-hire out of Caernarfon quite often, in the happy days of Captain Blyth, and Alastair Lynn-Macrae. Did some excellent trips round Snowdonia and Llyn.
Then things started to go downhill.
I went along last year and was not happy. I'd booked the aircraft for 2pm, it finally returned from its previous detail at 4pm, I was expected to do a one-hour checkride, and the next customer was booked for 5pm "and had to have the aircraft then". I couldn't quite fathom why it could be 2 hours late for me, but had to be on time for the next person. I vowed that it would be a long time before I returned.
Has it changed/improved recently?
(edited to take the 'and?' bit off at the start due to previous thread being deleted.-hope you don't mind.. )

"Free" PPLs?
Did anyone take up the offer of a "free" JAA PPL, in exchange for working 6 months at Caenarfon "free" of salary? If so, how is it going for you?
(This offer was mentioned on PPRuNe a few months ago)
