Ads on GA Apps

Aside from banners on sites such as PPRuNe, there is not a huge choice of digital advertising available to promote online services to the GA community. Given this I’ve been thinking of trialling some ads on general aviation aps (tablet and mobile). However when I’ve floated this idea elsewhere there has been a pretty negative response from flyers who see such ads as a nuisance or, even worse, a distraction when flying.

It’s generally not a good idea to alienate your clients so I was wondering what is the attitude of forum members to adverts on aviation apps or to the companies that place them.

To adverts? NEGATIVE!
To the companies who place them? EVEN MORE NEGATIVE!!

The answer is the same as it was on the 'Flyer' forum so why ask it!
This constant quest for cheap advertising on forums is becoming boring!
