Nothing is impossible

Just came across this, rather amazing.

There was a tread on here a few months back about carrier landings - in GA airplanes, seems to show that a ship with a flat deck, the right plane, pilot and support crew all things are possible; without all that superstructure in the way he'd have made it look easy.

A bold and rather excellent bit of piloting but rather too near the edge of the risk envelope for me to try ... especially with those handrails and the superstructure.

I suppose on a real aircraft carrier with a 30 kt forward speed into a 10 kt wind and masses of "flat top" it'd be a piece of p1ss in most light aircraft.

The cub might even struggle to keep up

Brings a whole new meaning to an angled deck landing.
