Martin W Turner RIP

It is with great regret that I inform PPrune members of the passing of Martin W Turner, former instructor and director at Cheshire Air Training School.

Martin instructed through the nineties and early 2000s and remained involved with aviation at Liverpool airport until recently.

His funeral is Friday 20th 10.30, at All Hallows Church, Harthill Road Liverpool L18 3HU followed by internment at Springwood Cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations if wished to Claire House Childrens Hospice.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, --and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of --Wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air...
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark or even eagle flew --
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.0's,

(Mods could this please stay in Private flying until friday, thanks)

A very sad loss

Martin was a great bloke , i flew with him in the late 80,s at CATS , he was funny , witty, a great person to be around, and i deeply saddened to hear this news. He always had a smile for you when you met him.God bless you Martin, and all your family and friends. You will be sorely missed.

A great guy.

My deepest condolences to Martin's family.

Great sense of humour and always smiling.

So many good memories working together.

Rest in peace my friend.
