SkyMap II

Has anyone here expeiranced difficutly using a SkyMap II in a C150? I've recently had a flight where I couldn't acquire any signal nomatter where I located the antenna?

Any suggestions?

Otherwise how about a longer aerial cable & suction cup the aerial to the rear window?

It is known that certain nav/comm frequencies will "block" the ery low power signal for a gps. Keep a log of when and where you experience signal loss and then see if a pattern emerges. I have found certain "black spots" but these turned out to be as stated above. After that dicuss this with Skyforce which is the most helpful company around
