As a resident I would recommend Gloria's. Very small, no more than probably 20 covers but the food is excellent and very different. Limited wine list but there is a only a £2 charge for corkage if you take your own.

Depends what you want.
Gloria's is indeed good if you like small and intimate, then there's the Georgian House, a bit more gastropub/restaurant. If you like crab claws in garlic butter or fish and chips the Marais Hall is good, it looks like a bit of a dive but isn't really:-)
Then there's Nellie Grays for an Indian, Bumps if you like traditional English and aren't in a hurry.....
