Aero Pics & Advice
Hi all,
For anyone interested a full set of my Aero photos are now on Flickr:-
Flying Anorak's photosets on Flickr
Lots of very nice things to look at!
One thing that was very clear was the number of VLA type aircraft now being manufactured and on sale. Unfortunately it seems that several of the ones that I have fallen in love with are not certified for us in the UK and therefore can anyone answer a couple of questions for me please, apologies if these are a bit dumb!
1. Am I correct in thinking that the LSA category is US only and is not recognised in the UK?
2. If an aircraft has not been certified for use in the UK - is it completely naive to think that it would be possible to import one and get it approved to fly in the UK without a significant world of hurt?
3. Can you get around (2) by having the aircraft registered in say Germany and then flying it indefinitely in the UK with a D Reg?
Cheers,
Paul.
