Question Strubby Airfield

I've flown over this a few times - it always looks quiet.

Does anybody know if power visitors are welcome here ??

Thanks

Yes.

There are two parts to the airfield: the southern part, which is used for gliding, and the northern (aka Old Heliport). For PPR for the latter contact Ron Larder. Full details in the AFE VFR Flight Guide.

I took a 172 into Strubby last week. Very smooth surface. A little on the narrow side for some at 15mtrs. No reply on the radio but that's common.

Visitors more than welcome PPR.
There are some facilities available even if unmanned.
Nice tarmac with parallel grass runway also available.
Does tend to be quiet as no flying training, but usually people around at the weekend.
Hopefully another fly-in later this year after a successful event last year.
