Medical Question

I was at Portimao airfield this weekend and saw an add for a doctor in Faro doing a class two for not a lot of Euro's!! Less than fifty!! So is it possible to get a medical in portugal on my CAA for life PPL? And what's the chance of it being compatible with an easa thingy?
Last thing, C152 with vor and slope dme etc at the Algarve Aeroclub for €90/hr wet!!!!! You need to be a member of the club but that will only set you back €60 for a year!! And trust me it is a great place to fly.

That's not bad. I thought our 152 was cheap at £81 chock to chock. If the quack is a registered AME I can't see why it wouldn't be valid. I've just renewed mine in UK for £70 and got one of the new EASA medical forms. It was cheaper because I only have to do an EECG every two years now instead of annually.

Edit: Just re read your post (damn my scan reading...) and noticed you are on one of the old money PPL's so I don't know.

Thanks, Patowalker, that's a nice chart. Looks like I can use a French doctor for my Class 2 from April! That saves a bit in travel costs...

Pistongone,

Do you have any contact details?
I wonder whether 4 or 5 of us could club together and fly him over to the UK and get him to do our medicals. I got charged a lot more last year for mine.
