Best deal Cirrus 20/22 ?

After a dead end lead on a Cirrus block hour deal where the aircraft never materialized it back to the drawing board in locating a good deal for the spring!

Ideally a newer generation aircraft and ideally an SR20 rather than SR22
Location around London or would consider Gloucester!

Any ideas ?

Why the SR20 over the SR22? Usually you can get an older SR22 for the price of a newer SR20 and in that case I would take the 22. The extra power makes a huge difference. Just curious what is driving the choice.

There is a guy at Membury who runs a microlight business who is getting a Cirrus SR 20 that he intends to rent, may be he is worth talking to?

Paul

Not a major driving force between the two only there were some major changes in the new generation aircraft and having had a short stint in both I felt the SR20 was better balanced with better handling qualities and lower overall fuel consumption.
Realize you can pull the power back on the SR22 for equal speed /fuel burn

Planning an equity group for 10 shares around a G3 SR20. We have 4 ready to commit so far. Need at least another 3 before sourcing the a/c. PM if interested......

The SR20 is under powered - period. I wouldn't buy one.

That said of course if price is a consideration, you arent going to be operating at MTOW (very often) and frequent longer runways it is an option.

A SR20 is available for block hours at Gloucester. I know that there are a couple of blocks still available as I was chatting to one of the block "owners" last Monday after he had got back from Shobdon.

PM me for contact details.

Hi Pace,

Clifton Aviation at Staverton have a Cirrus SR-20 G2 for hire and I am certain you will be able to work out a block hour deal with them.

Oxeagle Clifton Aviation at Staverton (EGBJ) was who I was going to suggest to Pace but wasn't sure if could do that on here.

I'm having a flight in their SR20 sometime in the next couple of weeks.
