I would have put her down long before wooded area..... And i guess i will meet some critics here but..... I have learnt not to push things... Gladly not like these people

You can tell they're not making a positive rate of climb from the second the wheels leave the ground. It's a bit frustrating to watch them persevere on past a large area which looks to be suitable for landing and end up ploughing into trees.

Been on before, you would think that having an incredibly long take off run, then actually touching down again would tell them the performance was going to be a bit poor!

Reminds me of an accident I watched years ago: A heavy loaded single taking of from the Intersection at the small St Peter Ording strip. After an enforced take off, the aircraft never came out of ground effect, just to hit a cow with the landing gear half a mile after the end of the runway. The poor cow was killed, the aircraft almost flipped over but everbody was pulled out of the aircraft with only minor injuries.
