I did my PPL there back when it was called The Flight Centre in early 2011. The school was pretty good then but not sure about the new outfit now though. I'm curious myself as Its my local airfield too and I'm looking to do my MCC somewhere soon. Does anyone have any info?

there is always coventry, atlantic flying limited. they sound reputable.

let me know if you find any information about west beach as I dont want to waste money.

if coventry is the only local one, im going to have to wait to get the ppl until i pass my driving test and get a car.

There are four fixed wing flying schools at Halfpenny Green, so I'm sure you'll find one that suits you without any need to go to Coventry. You can find a full list on the airport's website.

The permalink # 5 above I would treat with extreme caution. That thread has been truly cut and edited with a hidden agenda.

More can be seen here.

I am not a gambling man, but my money would be with barker987 had to say.

It's no secret I work there! I got barker through his test! I don't know Richard Westnot but he's correct! We did get slated by GEP who was blackmailing flight schools, backed up by the site owners (pprune towers) and yet were still fully booked and the students still happy! People in glass houses!.......etc

mcgoo - Take it with a pinch of salt. He is deranged, not for the want of a better word.

He now actually talks to himself and whilst he was given many powers here, he also thinks that he was a moderator.

Well that is my take and I can clearly see another hidden agenda, but draw your own conclusions.

I am currently doing my PPL at west beach and cannot fault the service I have had. My instructor Stuart is excellent and I have progressed well albeit slowly as of late due to weather. I would have no hesitation recommending them to anybody looking to do there PPL or other qualifications

Angel Positive feedback

Hi,

I have completed my PPL at westbeach last July 2013.
The minimum i can say for them is a big thanks for all the support given. I am italian living in UK with a full time work. From day one the help me with timing schedule to fit my work, RT ( im still an italian in shopshire !), my sensitivity to motion sickness and i loved fly in this airfield of the west midlands.
I have trained with a fantastic DA40 and the classic PA28 warrior.
The director and all the instructors i met are very friendly and helpfull and i never paid anything in advance.

If anyone is in doubt can contact me. As i said the minimum i can do is say the truth about this fantastic school based on the passion of the people that work there.

Steve
