Mountain rating in France
Does anyone know how proficient your French has to be for the solo flight in the full mountain rating (not the altiport sign off)? I am planning to do the training at Courchevel.

The club looks really excellent*
I'd love to do a mountain qualification but I had no idea it involved quite so much: seven hours' groundschool and 15-20 hours of flying spread over 15 days to one month in total...? Phew, at € 180/h in their Jodel 140 (yum!), that's going to add up to quite a budget. (Well, I guess you could say the same for aeros training, and plenty of other stuff, too...)
Anyway, it looks very tempting. Are you hoping to do the "wheels" or "skis" qualification?
