Combine harvester makes runway markers !!

Landed between the straw bouts out of the combine on a freshly cut barley field had about 14ft max width with slight xwind.

Roll on the wheat harvesting, will be plenty more landing choices

Here's the link to the vid if your interested

Excellent video, looks like fun! Are you sporting some small bushwheels? how do you rate them? I've been toying with the idea of the 29's or 31's. But won't think any further until I can base from grass rather than tarmac.

Yes 26" Alaskan Bushwheels I love them, they really smooth out rough terrain. I considered 29 and 31" but felt the 26" was a good trade off speed etc.

Nice vid. One question though: do you not wear hearing protection?

Thanks, No headsets if I am just bouncing around farms/fields, but if I am going into towered fields I use them, although I am trying to find a good hand mike.

At around 1.41 during the landing there are what looks like a pair of Collies by the wind sleeve. Or does my eye deceive me?
