As I wake this morning I am starting to realise after looking at the photo on the BBC news page that I may know the pilot......a terrible terrible tradgedy, having spent many happy days flying my Pilatus B4 many years ago at Portmoak my thoughts are with the family of the deceased.

A friend, colleague, and fellow aviator has left for sunnier skies.

Until the name is formally released publicly, please don't post it here.

Many thanks and RIP

Mark Dickson, former Air Traffic Controller with the RAF and subsequently with NATS at Prestwick Centre for the last 11 years has now been formally named.

We will all miss you.
