Post Looking for Piper Cub J3C / L4 parts

Anybody who has spare Piper Cub parts?
I am restoring a L4H and I am in need for several parts:
elevator push pull tube
elevator bellcranck
1 elevator
rudder with a straight back (super cubīs have round backends)
vertical fin
upper and lower door
ailerons
wing ribs for a wooden spar wing
...

I am aware of all the new Parts from Wagaero and Univair but those prices are $$$$$.

Tips where there might be L4īs laying forgotten in a hangar are also welcome.

Thanks

There is a cub quietly rotting away on a trailer at barton ashes airfield near winchester. Sorry but I've no idea who it belongs to.

Parkhouse Aviation (Wycombe?) often have unusual bits like that. Barry Parkhouse showed me his garage once - stacked full of zero time Gypsy spares!

Yeah, Barnstormers I know. I was kind of hoping to find parts in Europe.
The airfield in the UK (Barton Ashes) seems to be difficult to find a contact.
Any idea?

I think you will find from memory that the Cub in question belongs to Maurice Kirk and is on the AFORS site - There are in fact two at the airfield. G-OINK is one and the other is french registered. From memory there are contact details on Maurice's website which comes up in google as "Maurice Kirk - Flying Vet"

Thank you for this information. I will give it a try. You know if it is a J3 or is it a PA18 Super cub?

Have you tried googling the registration? Google bought several shots up including this one from last year (copyrighted, so here's a link):

Piper J3C-65 Cub, F-BMHM, Private

Contactwise, this should give you what you seek:

Planespotting at Hampshire's Airports and Airfields - AircraftSpotting.co.uk

Hi Mechta,

I have been there but there is no actual contact at planespotting. I even wrote to the cities (or are we talking about villages?) of Crawly and Barton-Ashes but they could not help me either.
There must be somebody responsible who I can call????
The French registration also did not get me further,...yet

EC - Surprised you are struggling to contact Maurice Kirk, his details are clearly availible on his web site. He does own the two aircraft mentioned.

Thank you all for the PMīs and replies. As Mr. K is not selling his aircraft, I will need to look further. If somebody else comes up with other ideas or aircraft in storage waiting to be found, please let me know.

cheers

PS. Goldeneagle you were faster then I could post
