RAF Leuchars GA safety day...put a face to the voice.

I will be attending the GA safety day at Leuchars on Monday 6th August to give a brief chat about the work of the NATS Scottish Area control centre and in particular the service available from "Scottish Information"
It will be a good chance for me to put a face to the many voices that my colleagues and I talk to on 119.875 at Scottish Info. Please come armed with as many questions as you like....looking forward to seeing you then .

The face of scottish info may scare small children though

And when he says questions he really means packets of chocolate biscuits.

Have fun I am sure it will be a fun and informative day.

You better be quick. Today is the last day for registration
Contact Pilot Officer Scott Coates 01334 857282 Mobile 07837375443.
He can email the booking? form etc & you will need to email a copy of your insurance details.

I, too, talked to Scott who was more than happy to accept my booking despite being a couple of days late. Thanks, too, to Scottish Aero Club for emailing me the forms from Italy. What service! Now we just need some decent weather.

I am sure you will come back to haunt the center even after your kicking up the daisys.

Just to make sure just before you hangup your headset you could hide a pair of socks that you have cycled in with for a week in the control room.

Oh come on now, you can be more creative than that. One of my former colleagues, upon completing his 1 year course at ETPS, left a fish secreted behind the heating radiator in one of his tutor's offices. To say it caused a stink is an understatement. The retaliation, when it came (and it was inevitable) involved an eel

So talking of fish & eels. What about arriving at Victory Barracks for my Demob & being asked why I was carrying a live 28lb HE rocket head in my kitbag, The bastards.

I've tried for the last two weeks to find out from the instructors at Cumbernauld about attending the safety day at Leuchars, my last enquiry being before I flew at 1500. today Fri 3rd.
When I returned at 1630 I was told it was now too late to 'register'
The 'pack' which was supposed to be left at the club desk was never in evidence.
Is it possible to attend traveling by road or is it too late ?

atceng.

ps could bring six pack kit kat.
