A useful "armchair flying" application for real-world aviation?
A "show me the way to the next aerodrome" gizmo partly developed by Laminar Research who also make X-Plane: VP-400 *-* Vertical Power

Years ago, Microsoft's Flight Sim had an approach aid which needed you to fly through a series of boxes, to ensure a perfect delivery to the runway. Did/does such a thing exist? It seemed so much easier than flying the needles!
