IMC test question

I was just wondering about this:

12) You pass your IMC Rating Skills test on 12th December 2004 and the rating is issued on 20th January 2005. On what date does your rating expire?
A 19th January 2006
B 11th January 2006
C 11th January 2007
D 19th January 2007
You chose D, but the correct answer was C.

I was sure it was 2 years from the date of issue, therefore D should surely be correct?

25 months from the date of test.

So C

I would have been fine with this one as if I was not sure I always went for C.

It's a stupid question anyway. In real life nobody is going to work out "when do I need to get the next test done" by remembering the date they passed the first test and doing some arithmetic, they're going to do it by looking at the "valid until" column on their ratings page.

So in practical terms knowing "it's about two years" is perfectly adequate.

It may be adequate for ensuring you keep current, but it is of little use in getting the question correct for purposes of passing an exam!
