Question UK CAA no phones day?

I have heard that the UK CAA are having one day per week where they don't answer the phones/email - to concentrate on the EASA transition.

Whilst I actually think this is probably a good strategy (two days might even be better )- does anyone know if this is fact, or just rumour? And which day it might be if true?

Thanks, Sam.

The service provided on Saturdays and Sundays is just as good as it is on weekdays........they don't answer the phones!

I have had cause to ring FCL several times recently, no problem with a response and the recorded message warns that they do not answer Wednesday afternoons for EASA training

Well to be fair I have not had cause to ring them for almost two and a half years now.

So it is quite possible that they have found the phone and started to answer it.
