I don't know anything about Lomond Holdings Ltd, but I think they really really don't like aviation.

I can't imagine they'll just throw in the towel.

Such threats to aviation can be overcome. Case in point being Wycombe Air Park (Booker) which had the threat of a rugby & football stadium being built on it by the local Council eventually being thwarted (Victory is ours. Long live Booker aerodrome! (From Bucks Free Press))
