E mail from an admin says routine maintenance is taxing the server, and in that state it locks users out.

Normal service will be resumed as soon an possible....

So it's kind of like standing in one restaurant, stating to the diners that you're standing there, because the service is slow in the one next door....

Which restaurant is providing the service you would like? It's hard to eat your meal in both at the same time!
