JAA PPL in the States

I want to send my son to the States to do his PPL.
Has anybody any recent experience about which schools to look at and which to avoid.

Also I want him to get his ground school passed before he goes, can anybody recommend any study packs,

Many thanks

I would avoid Naples Air Center, Orlando Flight Training, and FlyEASA. EFT seems to me the only outfit that seems to avoid heavy criticism. There's also a school in California but I am not too familiar.

What is the motivation for sending him to the US?
