JAA PPL Validation

My JAA PPL two years validation is expiring on 12/05/2012.I only flown once in past 18 months for two hours.Probably another 10 hours to reveledate.

My Question is as i have changed my mind to train further in America for FAA.When I apply for FAA conversion at the end of this year.,ll this be excepted with validity expire or i must have to keep it valid for FAA conversion. My Whole aim is to save money as even having a valid JAR PPL i may not be flying in the UK for the time being.

Many Thanks for your guidance in advance.
