Microlighting in Essex

Hi All,

I am new to this forum so please bare with me. First off, just saying hello with a brief intro.

I am very much into light sports, particularly 3 axis microlights such as the Thruster T600 and AX3. I am not too keen on flexi wing aircraft, but that's just down to personal taste.

I am an not a license holder, but would very much enjoy a trip to the many airfields of Essex that specialise in light air sports and microlighting.

I am aware of:

Damyns Hall in Upmister, Northweald Airfield, and Andrewsfield whom appear to have microlight clubs and schools.

I would very much like to just occupy the right seat for now and take in the experience and scenery until a license is in question.

Can anyone advise me or share any information in microlighting in Essex?

Kind Regards,

Alex

Another friendly and active microlighting location is Rayne Hall Farm near Braintree and there are groups also at Hunsdon (near Harlow) and Willingale (near Ongar).

Thank you

Phil

Thank you very much for your reply.

I done a quick search on a UKGA website and it brought up many more airfields including the one's that you mentioned.

I was surprised by the amount of smaller private airfields in my area that I never knew existed. However, many of these are just 'private' and I am sure that I am not welcome just as an enthusiast.

All the best,

Alex
