IMCR & IR
Hi all, I have a IMCR & intersted in full IR. I want the IR for Europe flying. Problem is I am colour blind & have a restriction on my licence for day time flying only. Does any one know if you can do IR for day time only?

You have a PM.
But let me suggest the obvious first: have you totally exhausted the CV test options? Almost nobody is totally colour blind, and almost everybody who fails the ridiculously useless Isihara test can correctly see every colour you stick under their nose (myself included).

The Ishihara test was intended as a screening test and it's reasonably good for that purpose. The more advanced forms of colour-vision testing involve more equipment and take a good amount of training to administer fairly, so there's a reason most AMEs will use the Ishihara plates as a first resort. But it is possible to pass one test, but fail another so if you haven't yet done a lantern test I suggest you have a shot at one and see how you do.
