Why waive landing fees?

It's only a tenner or so?

So far as I know, when the airfield heard we were planning this, they very kindly offered. Would be a little discourteous to decline - but we could always organise an appropriate charity collection if people feel it's appropriate.

In the meantime, as of 1700Z on Monday 2nd, we have 7 aircraft with 13PoB.

For some people flying is a treat they choice by scraping the last few pennies they have together. A kind offer of a free landing fee is not to sniff at. That £10 gives me another 20 minutes worth of fuel. If I am able to make the fly-in, I would be very grateful and appreciative of the waiver. Thanks Sherburn, I heard you were a good place to come, now there's more of an excuse to make the trip.

Ps Ghengis and others, thanks for going to the trouble of organising this!

Me & Katamarino are making tentative plans to fly from EHRD with one of the clubs Robins. We do need reasonable weather though for the North Sea crossing. End of March... Fingers crossed!

And received.

We currently sit at 10 aircraft, of four national registrations and 9 aircraft types, with 16 PoB and 490 litres of likely fuel sales for Sherburn.

And it's still only January 4th!

Nah, we just need 100ft cloud-base or so and we'll avoid any shipping by 500ft horizontally

Is there a revised list of numbers or who or may not be hoping to attend?

As of this morning, now 17 aircraft with 27 PoB.

Does anybody know if Sherburn have MOGAS? There are a couple of people who sound like they'd like to buy some if it's available.

Yes they have MOGAS according to website. They run a pair of AT-3s for training/self fly.

It seemed good the last time I was there, although it wasn't very busy.
