GA to Austria
I am planning to fly IFR from Poland to Austria (LOWI - Innsbruck), do you know if this is possible like to any other European country or there is still this famous problem with kind of tax registration in Austria?

LOWI, btw, can be 'interesting' in the winter months....
Pilot error = death.
Exactly how it should be (according to UK pilot forums
).Here is a video
I did recently. I think one needs to turn down the volume on the GPWS messages when going in there

According to my airline captain friend, LOWI is one of a handful of airports for which they need specific training, endorsement and currency. So don't underestimate it. The TOD might not be the best place to look at the approach plates for the first time...
I once flew as SLF to LOWI when the weather was OVC050 or so. With mountains extending well above 5000 feet the approach was interesting.

Innsbruck is no biggie, provided the weather is quite OK (e.g. VMC below single-engine ceiling or VMC below tops for single-engine aircraft). Be sure to check NOTAMs in winter season due to parking availability - especially during weekends. I was there in April and no special tax registration or whatever was required, very straight forward airport and the usual Austrian landing fees.
