Instrument Rating

Hi all,

What are the aircraft requirements to get an Instrument Rating. I.E. DME, VOR, LOC, etc. I have been searching the net for a few days but cannot find anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
Josh

CAA Standards Document 7 is your friend. Essentially, the equipment mandated by the ANO for IFR flight in controlled airspace, suitable screens to restrict vision, and a braking system accessible from both from seats. As well as the usual insurance including CAA staff, maintenance to PT standards, etc.
