Well, that proves it's not accurate; Luton's always foggy and wet!!

Another good feature of the BBC web!!!!e is the rain radar, which is updated every 30 mins and can be viewed at a regional level..

It is only what you see here.

The UKMO sells its wx radar feed to some international cartel (it used to be called Opera) whose job was to turn it into an integrated product which the Met offices could make money out of.

It's all the same data.

You just pay more if you want the data more "real time"

I Must add that the new version of The Met Office app is very good and much less fiddly than the normal website.

For a few days ahead I still go back to Wunderground using the radar/model maps/GFS page. (Not the app)

Is anyone able to suggest a site which records the historical data for Upper Level winds for the Pacific region ? Ok if it is one which requires nominal payment.
Try this one. Incidentally one of the best sites around.

upper level winds - Pacific - historica

Thanks for all the suggestions guys and gals. It is proving a bit more difficult to get this data than I thought but I have contacted a couple of the website owners to see if they can assist.
