Girona - LEGE

Hi

I'm planning to fly down to Girona VFR on Saturday morning and wondered if anybody could give me the "heads up" on landing fees, procedures etc ?

Regards

Thanks for that Viking - I've tried that number for most of the day but nobody picks up - I'll keep trying...

Best

E-mail a couple of weeks before going, they said fine and would look forward to our flight plan to confirm the time etc.

Two nights parking and landing fee was Euro 108.00 for a PA28 last month.

Helpful atc and security was straight forward.

Fuel was very expensive, long walk (+34 deg) from parking to terminal.

Enjoy

This useful site lists a phone number, a fax number, and an email address.

Do them all at the same time; that's what I do

There is also a list of links to handlers and they are much more likely to respond than the usual bone idle southern European airport office workers.

Try +34-972 186 600, which is the number quoted on the airport plate.

All,

Which handler is advisable, or is this not mandatory? We just got a EUR 394,- quote for a Cessna 172. Way out of expectation.

I hate to say this given my pathological hatred of the things, but if you are self handling, it is a good idea for you and your pax to wear a HiViz jacket for the walk to the terminal from your aircraft and vice versa. Otherwise ground staff on the tarmac mistake you for Ryan Air pax and try to usher you in the wrong direction.
