Why no RA(T) maps on a website?
Just seen this
Q) EGTT/QRTCA/IV/BO/AW/000/055/5042N00151W004
A) EGHH B) FROM: 11/08/18 12:00 C) TO: 11/08/21 17:00
E) RESTRICTED AREA (TEMPORARY) AT BOURNEMOUTH. RESTRICTION OF FLYING REGULATIONS MADE UNDER ARTICLE 161 OF THE ANO 2009(MIL ACFT SHOULD COMPLY WITH JSP552 201.135.9). AIC M 037/2011, WHICH INCLUDES A MAP, REFERS. NO ACFT IS TO FLY WI AREA BOUNDED BY STRAIGHT LINES JOINING 504304N 0015636W, 504405N 0014703W, 504016N 0014604W, 503914N 0015537W, 504304N 0015636W EXCEPT ACFT FLYING IN ACORDANCE WITH A PERMISSION ISSUED BY BOURNEMOUTH OR SOUTHAMPTON ATC OR FLYING DISPLAY DIRECTOR FOR BOURNEMOUTH AIR FESTIVAL. SEE SEPARATE NOTAM FOR DISPLAYS BY RED ARROWS ON 20 AND 21 AUG. 11-08-0026 AS 6LOWER: SFC
UPPER: 5500FT AMSL
SCHEDULE: 18 AND 19 AUG 1200-2000, 20 AND 21 AUG 1100-1700
OK for a "local" to know where to look up AIC M 037/2011 (though many clearly don't, or won't) but what about a foreign pilot?
It would be so easy to stick this stuff on a website and put the URL into the notam text.
The basic URL of a website is not case sensitive but anything after the initial "/" is, so that would have to be set up on the server as uppercase, which is trivial.

But Joe Foreigner won't know about it...

It's true that almost nobody flying around for real reads the AIPs (because, outside the White Christian world, they are full of bull) but everybody serious does get Notams - unless flying fully end-to-end IFR under ATC direction in which case they get just aerodrome notams.
The place to stick the relevant info on this kind of thing is therefore a Notam.
It's no coincidence that one of the highest profile CAA prosecutions over a TRA was some bloke from Belgium, IIRC.

IO540 asked
I wonder if it works on Apple's media players?
No, I'm afraid it doesn't. it appears there's no Silverlight for iOS yet (or ever likely to be?)
Pity, that would have been really useful.
